The Challenge

Investors, analysts and media rely on the website for corporate information, project data and announcements. So with a rename and rebrand from MinRex Resources (ASX: MRR) to Northstone Resources (ASX: NRL) in the works, the brief was clear - design & develop a fresh new website to be launched at the same time as the ASX announcement went out.

The Solution

As Minrex Resource’s existing digital partner, we were engaged to plan and manage the full digital transition. The work spanned three workstreams, each designed to protect continuity while delivering a step change in quality and meeting the tight ASX deadline.

Design Review and System

We began by reviewing the completed Northstone branding guidelines and testing how they would translate across the existing site structure. We worked directly with CEO Max Piirto, to map out the required copy changes and created a digital design system that aligned with the mapped the new brand to the existing content: colour application, type scale, button styling and component behaviour. Along with a full site redesign, we also improved the homepage structure, introducing Northstone's Serbian gold and copper focus.

Development Application

We developed the approved website designs in a development staging environment, updating global styling across the site and tightening as needed. This included UI/UX fixes surfaced along the way to enable a cleaner navigation structure and more intuitive pathways for investors and stakeholders.

Domain Migration and ASX Compliance

The most technically demanding phase was the migration from the old domain to northstoneresources.com. We planned and implemented the DNS changes, SSL certification and a 301 redirect strategy to protect existing search equity. We liaised directly with the ASX integration team to update the ASX and IRM listing links and then confirmed the ticker code change to NRL was reflected across all investor relations content and widgets.

Post-Launch SEO and Analytics

Once the new site was live, we re-tagged GA4 and GTM, resubmitted the site to Google Search Console and ran a redirect QA pass a few weeks post-launch to catch anything Google had indexed under the old domain or company name. This protected existing search rankings through the migration.

The Result

Northstone Resources launched with a digital presence that matched the goals of its rebrand. The site now operates under the northstoneresources.com domain, with the NRL ticker correctly reflected across all investor relations content. The design system gives the Northstone team a consistent visual language for future digital work.

Meanwhile, the SEO and analytics migration protected existing search visibility. The redirect QA pass ensured nothing was lost in the transition. For Northstone's investors and stakeholders, the experience is now seamless: one brand, one ticker, one source of truth.

The project covered reasonable rounds of revisions and reviews through to completion and launch. Northstone now has a digital platform that reflects its position as an Australian-based ASX-listed gold and copper explorer with advanced assets across Serbia and Australia as well as the infrastructure to support the next phase of its story.
