Rockford Capital, a provider of non-dilutive R&D finance for Australian innovators, specialises in debt capital for ASX-listed and privately held Australian companies with active R&D programs, offering flexible, Australian-sourced capital without requiring founders to issue permanent equity to fund temporary cash gaps. 

The Challenge

The core challenge was twofold: first, to redesign the website to reflect Rockford Capital’s position as a trusted, experienced partner in the R&D financing space; second, to develop advanced financial calculators that would give visitors a tangible, instant understanding of how much non-dilutive capital they could access. These calculators needed to be intuitive and fast while handling multiple variables such as accrued R&D spend, projected future expenditure, cash on hand, and capital raise timing.

Our Approach

OKMG redesigned the website from the ground up, establishing a visual identity that communicates precision, expertise and confidence, all of which are essential qualities for a firm operating at the intersection of finance and innovation. The new design prioritises clarity and conversion. Overall, the redesign vastly improved user journey pathways and conversion flows.

Central to the project was the development of two financial calculators that would serve as compelling lead-generation assets. The R&D Finance Calculator allows users to input their current-year R&D spend, projected 12-month R&D expenditure, cash on hand, and capital raise status to receive an instant estimated advance amount. The Accrued Spend Calculator, on the other hand, provides a complementary view to help companies understand how much working capital they can unlock against historical and current-year R&D expenditure of up to 100% loan-to-value ratio.

We built the entire site on WordPress, providing Rockford Capital’s team with a flexible content management system that enables them to update content, publish insights, and maintain the calculators.
